Samsung Exynos 9810 Review, Phones, Specs and Benchmarks

The Samsung Exynos 9810 Processor was introduced in early 2018 when Samsung was preparing to introduce its S9 and S9 Plus flagship smartphones. At that time, it was a flagship chipset that integrates an octa-core processor in two clusters. Immediately after launch, it was noted that the chipset offered possibilities that was beyond a component.

Samsung Exynos 9810

While it was being engineered and designed, it’s obvious that the chip was meant bring infinite possibilities on mobile. Starting from astonishing cutting-edge features to a one-of-a-kind performance and efficiency which will be explained below.

Apart from being just a component, the 9810 brings unrivaled intelligence straight to your fingertips, providing deep learning and sophisticated features. User experience will not only be enhanced, but the learning based software will identify someone or items on a photo. It’s also the first Exynos chipset to introduce the recently viral 3D Face ID feature for accelerating the depth sensing feature for Face scan.

Samsung Exynos 9810 Octa-core Processor

Obviously, the chip is accompanied by octa-core processor, there’s a Samsung M3 cores reaching an impressive clock rate of 2.9GHz. That’s even higher/faster than the clock rate of the current Exynos 9820 flagship chip. It’s also worthy to note that the Samsung M3 cores comes with improved cache memory. The remaining power efficiency cluster are four small ARM Cortex-A55 cores clocking at 1.9GHz.

It comes with a new upgraded LTE modem which supports Cat.18/13 LTE for up to 1.2 Gbps download and 200 Mbps upload. The chip was designed to get things done faster and does just that. It’s designed to provide greater processing power while handling the most intensive tasks there is.

This results in a seamless multi-tasking and computing experience for users. You can stream high quality virtual reality contents even those in 4K. Don’t like to watch but want to record? The chip also supports 4K UHD video recording even at an impressive 120fps tops. Featuring dual-ISP (Image Signal Processor), it can support up to four cameras at once, including a dual camera. It’s also integrated with some AI image processing algorithms like demosaic, edge enhancer, face beautification and noise reduction.

Samsung Exynos 9810 Graphics

Incorporating the all new ARM Mali-G72 GPU, this brings and offers the most realistic graphics on mobile. The Bifrost architecture, which is Arm’s second generation architecture actually did the trick. Providing high gaming and graphics performance while consuming the lowest amount of energy. The GPU comes with only 18 clusters to aid the higher clock rate of the graphics card.

Process Technology (nm)

The 9810 was created on the much newer 10m LPP process technology, which should ultimately lead to stable processing in low power consumption. You should also know that the second generation generation 10nm FinFET process should help the device deliver a powerful performance with less power.

Benchmarks (AnTuTu)

On the popular AnTuTu benchmark, the chipset reaches a minimum score of 214090, average of 218110, median of 217950 and a maximum 222290 points.
