MediaTek Helio P60 is a high end ARM soc designed mainly for upper mainstream smartphones and tablets running majorly on the android OS. It is a premium product introduced in early 2018. Built on 64-bit architecture the chip utilizes eight CPU cores consisting of 4x big ARM Cortex-A73 cores and 4x small and power efficient ARM CortexA53 cores.
MediaTek Helio P60 Processor
The chip has a memory speed 2000 MHz which also integrates AI processing unit. As expected, it comes with 8-cores aka octa-cores and gets the job done efficiently within minutes. The fact that the cores on this chip can reach up 2GHz while integrating AI is simply amazing. It’s mostly seen in higher mid-range smartphones and the phones can be found below.
MediaTek Helio P60 Graphics
The chip runs on the power of ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card capable of speeding up to 800 MHz which is more than enough to run basic applications and games. While playing playing games, the Mali-G72 MP3 dominates, especially if the game is not too demanding and there aren’t too many apps already on standby.
Process Technology (nm)
The SoC is built on 12 nm FinFET process technology, this is definitely on par with modern chipset seen on new devices. It helps in preserving the battery and making it last longer.
On Benchmarks, specifically on AnTuTu v6, the Chipset reaches a decent 102777 (42%) rating. That’s reaching a 91667 points on minimum, 102777 on average, 105997 on median and 110668 max.
