The inception of Snapdragon 845 in early 2018 preceded other chipsets in the high-end SoCs from Qualcomm until the Snapdragon 855 was released into flagship smartphones. Samsung Exynos 9610 is manufactured using a 10nm FinFET process technology, while the Snapdragon 845 is also manufactured using the same 10nm FinFET process technology and for a high end SoC we expect the Snapdragon 845 to poses something better. Snapdragon 845 comes with Qualcom’s range of smart intelligence known as Qualcomm Spectra 280 ISP, while Exynos 9610 features a vision and image processing unit based on neural network engine.

The Snapdragon 845 boasts of 8GB Memory bandwidth with up to 1866MHz, while the Exynos 9610 utilizes 6GB 1600MHz memory bandwidth and possesses 5.1 eMMC as compared to 5 eMMC in Snapdragon 845.

A higher version of eMMC will allow faster memory interfaces, creating a positive effect on the performance of a device. For example, when transferring files from computer to the internal storage using a USB.


Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 has an X20 LTE Cat.18 and Cat.13 with download speed of 1.2Gbps and 150Mbps uploads speeds, Bluetooth 5.0 Wi-Fi 802.11ac while the Exynos chip integrates an LTE Cat.12 and Cat.13 of 600Mbps downloads and 150Mbps Uploads, Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. Connectivity is more better with Snapdragon 845.

Over at AnTuTu, specifically on the version 6, the 9610 reaches an avg score of 143662, while the 845 reaches an avg score of 225,534.
