Also the 845 is the first chip to support actually capturing it through camera. While previous developed chips have had to focus on capturing more pixels, the chipset focuses on capturing better pixels quality.
While the 835 could capture the Rec.709 color gamut, the 845 can capture the Rec.2020 color gamut, going from 8 bits to 10 bits of color making it easier for a more realistic image and clearer contents.
Aside from color capture, the improved Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip supports video capture of 240 frames per second at 1080p. A feature the iPhone 8 and iPhone X hold over android devices. It supports a slower motion capture of 480fps at 720p.
