Sometimes back in 2016 MediaTek unveiled the MediaTek Helio P20 MT6757 to enable affordable smartphones to have better features. One of these features was the dual camera to improve the smartphone photography and many more features. MediaTek aim was to bring high-end upgrades to smartphone manufacturers that sell their smartphones to people that are on a stricter budget compared to those who immediately go for a flagship smartphone.
The Helio P20 Chip is quite affordable with nice features and it has a 64-bit architecture with an eight CPU cores to get its work done easily and fast as well. As stated above, it was designed for low end devices as well as some high-end devices. Although the chip can also be found on some high end smartphones just like the Helio P23.
MediaTek Helio P20 MT6757 Processor
The chip boasts of a memory speed of 933MHz, this helps the RAM space available to process faster especially in terms of multitasking. The MT6757 can handle up to 6GB/4GB RAM and 24MP camera, helping affordable smartphones have such feature.
It supports 4G LTE (Cat 6) and allows for 1080p videos to be played at 30fps, this means it doesn’t support 4k. It uses a Cortex-A53 architecture and clocks up to 2.3GHz max for the best performance, whis is super cool.
MediaTek Helio P20 MT6757 Graphics
The Mali-T880 from ARM reigns supreme in terms of Graphics and handles it quite alright. It comes with dual cores or clusters, while clocking up to 900MHz. This should be more than enough to handle most Android games, and help you run PUBG and the rest.
Process Technology (nm)
The chip was built on an older 16nm process technology, even though it’s better than most 28nm chips, you can’t compare it with the newer 10nm. This might be a little disappointing compared to the latest process node seen on latest smartphones in terms of power efficiency, like the 7nm.
Benchmarks (AnTuTu)
On Benchmarks, specifically on AnTuTu, the Chipset reaches a low of 59082 points, an average of 63462.3 points and 66472 points when we tested it which is quite impressive for a lower mid-range chip.
