Huawei Mate 20 Pro has been teased in new promo photos by Huawei. The Mate 20 Pro is the successor to the Mate 10 Pro and will be in competition with the Huawei P20 Pro and Oppo R17 Pro. It may also compete with the Galaxy A7 2018 with triple rear camera. It also runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box as well.
Design
It’s built with aluminium alloy and glass on top. It supports wireless charging and is water and dust resistant boasting of IP68 certifications. The triple camera and LED flash forms a square-like shape at the top middle. The device was teased in Emerald Green, Midnight Blue, Twilight, Pink Gold and Black colors.
Display
The Mate 20 Pro is built around a 6.39-inch QHD+ AMOLED 19:9 notch display. The screen boasts of 1440 x 3120 pixels in resolution along with a 538 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 87.9% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Emotion 9 on top. Under the hood, the HiSilicon KIRIN 980 chipset from Huawei runs the show, coming with 8-cores of processor which clocks at 2.6GHz for a smooth ride.
The new ARM Mali-G76 MP12 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It boasts of 6GB RAM space variants as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
For photography, it’s equipped with triple 20MP + 40MP + 8MP rear shooters. There’s also other internal features in the camera listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a single 24MP selfie shooter on the notch as well.
Battery
Powering the Huawei Mate 20 Pro up is a 4200mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology to fill it up fast. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
