Crosscall Trekker-X4 has been launched by Crosscall in Europe. The rugged device definitely came prepared. It’s equipped with IP68 Certifications offering water and dust resistant. The Trekker-X4 is a strong smartphone quite alright in 2018 and can stand the test of time. The phone is suitable for athletes, sky divers and outsiders, it was introduced alongside the Crosscall Core-X3 and Crosscall Action-X3.
Design
The X4 is a rugged smartphone with a rugged design, boasting of a textured back, an highlight which makes it solid. It has a metal bumper on the edges and can take a dunk in 1m of water whether chlorinated salty or oily water. The smartphone can also fend off dusts, dirt’s and drops, cooling off all the way down to 10°C.
Display
The new smartphone is built around a 5.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen. The screen boasts of 1080 x 1920 pixels in resolution along with a 401 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 62.75% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 660 MSM8976 Plus chipset from Qualcomm sits behind the screen, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.2GHz for a smooth ride.
The Qualcomm Adreno 512 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It boasts of 4GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Trekker-X4 is equipped with a 12MP rear shooter for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features. For taking selfies, there’s a 8MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the Crosscall Trekker-X4 is a 4400mAh Li-Po battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
