In this article, the Xioami Pocophone F1 will be going against another device from Xiaomi with the Snapdragon 845 Processor; The Xiaomi Mi 8.
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Vs Mi 8: Design
Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is made of Plastic While the Mi 8 is made with Aluminum 7000 series. Pocophone F1 has a colour variants of Graphite Black, Steel Blue, Rosso Red and Armored Edition with Kevlar, while the Mi 8 comes in Black, Blue, White and Gold. The Fingerprint senor is placed at the top middle on both devices. On the Pocophone F1, the cameras are placed just above the fingerprint sensor while on the Mi 8 the cameras are at the top left corner.

Xiaomi Pocophone has a small form factor with 6.28-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2246 pixels and a 416ppi. Mi 8 on the other hand has a bigger 6.21-inch Super AMOLED screen and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels with a pixel per inch density of 402ppi. Of course, Both devices are rocking the 19:9 aspect ratio with a notch.

Running the show on both devices is the Snapdragon 845 processor clocking speeds of up to 2.8GHz. Both devices also have 6GB of RAM. However, there are more storage options to choose from on both devices, the Mi 8 has 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, same to Pocophone F1’s 64GB, 128GB and 256GB option. The Mi 8 has no microSD Slot but You can expand the Pocophone F1’s storage via the on board microSD slot which can accommodate up to 256GB.
Mi 8 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MiUI 10 on top. You also get Android 8.1 Oreo on Pocophone F1 but with MiUI 9.6 out of the box.

Both devices are equipped with a dual camera setup. On the Pocophone F1, we have a 12MP + 5MP rear camera with dual LED Flash and a f/1.9 aperture. The Mi 8 also packs a 12MP + 12MP rear camera with Dual-LED Flash and a f/1.8 + f/2.4 aperture. For Selfies, both devices pack a 20MP camera and a f/2.0 aperture.

Powering the Pocophone F1 Smartphone is a hefty 4000mah Non-removable battery while the Mi 8 has a smaller 3400mah Non-removable battery. Both devices are equipped with fast Charging so juicing up fast shouldn’t be a problem here.
