Vivo Y97 has just been launched by Vivo as its latest installment to its list of bezel-less smartphones. This is coming after the X23, X23 Pro, V11, V11i and V11 Pro was introduced days ago. Of course, the Y97 sports the water-drop notch display, dual rear camera and powered by the Helio P60 chipset.
Design
The Y97 has a glossy black with aluminum frame, this makes the device reflect light beautifully. Furthermore, we can see the dual rear camera are vertical at the top left corner, while a fingerprint scanner underneath is in its usual position.
Display
The phone sports a tall 6.3-inch FHD+ 18:9 full view display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2280 pixels in resolution along with a 400 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 84.25% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
The new smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Funtouch 4.0 OS on top. Under the hood, th Helio P60 (MT6771) chipset from MediaTek runs the show, coming with 8-cores of processor which clocks at 2.0GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It has 4GB RAM space as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 16MP + 5MP rear camera with autofocus for photography and accompanied with other internal features. While for selfies, it sports a 16MP selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering it up is a 3315mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2.5 hours.
