We’ve already hinted that the incoming Samsung Galaxy A9 0 will have a pop-up camera, but little did we know that Samsung has more in stock for their fans. A 3D rendering of the phone today shows that it the dual camera is mounted on a slider which you can slide up and rotate to use the rear dual camera as a selfie camera. Amazing, isn’t it?
This is not too surprising, popular mobile reporter @OnLeaks tweeted last week that the new Samsung Galaxy A90 will have a sliding and rotating camera. This setup had the advantage of modularity in that the dual camera is serving two purpose at once, that is, serving as real camera and also serving as selfie camera. The disadvantage of the setup however is that the phone has 2 extra moving parts. The slider is a moving part, and the rotating camera is another moving part.
What we couldn’t figure out is if the slider can be tucked in without rotating the camera to the rear. If this is possible, then it might be a bonus as it helps keep the camera safe inside. The device doesn’t seem to have a face unlock, but we can see that it features an in-display fingerprint scanner.
