OnePlus 6T has been certified and will be launched on 17th of October after OnePlus officially sent out invitation letters for the event. The first photos has been teased by popular leakster @rquandt, from the photos, we can see that the 6T has no rear fingerprint scanner. This means the company is flowing with the current trend by integrating an in-display fingerprint scanner on the new device.
Design
The upgraded variant to the OnePlus 6 was designed with aluminium alloy with front and back Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The camera and LED flash positioning still remains the same, but the rear fingerprint scanner is missing. It measures 8.2 in thickness and will be available in Mirror Black with glass back and Midnight Black with metal back.
Display
The 6T is built around a 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED water-drop display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution along with a 403 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 84.3% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm sits behind the screen, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.8GHz for a smooth ride.
The Adreno 630 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64GB/128GB internal storage space which is not expandable. It boasts of 6GB/8GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 16MP + 20MP shooters at the rear. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features. For taking selfies, there’s a single 16MP selfie shooter for all your selfies.
Battery
Powering up the OnePlus 6T is a 3700mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
