Gome U9 has been launched by Gome in China during an event. The U9 is the company’s latest smartphone with all trendy features going around and targets those on a budget as well. The device boasts of the trendy Face Unlock feature, dual rear camera and notch display. Lets find out more.
Design
From afar, it looks a lot like the Vernee M8 and Vernee M8 Pro we reported earlier. It was designed with the same Polycarbonate and Metal material, coincidence? Nonetheless, it measures 7.8mm in thickness and weighs 167g overall. It will be available in Black and Blue colors as well.
Display
The U9 sports a 6.18-inch FHD+ IPS LCD notch display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2246 pixels in resolution along with a 403 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 88% screen-to-body as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the Helio P23 chipset from MediaTek runs the race, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64/128GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It boasts of 6GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Gome U9 is equipped with dual 13MP + 5MP rear shooters for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. In the selfie department, there’s a 16MP selfie shooter for all your selfies and Face Unlock as well.
Battery
Powering up the U9 is a 3160mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
