BQ Mobile BQ-5520L Silk hss been launched by BQ Mobile in Russia as the new sleek and affordable smartphone targeting those on a budget. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition and comes preloaded with the Go apps ensuring smooth usage for light users. BQ Mobile also stressed about the display of the smartphone, a HD+ full view display for your entertainment. It will be joining the BQ-6200L Aurora and BQ-5300G Velvet View on shopping stores.
Design
It sports a plastic body but that doesn’t stop the phone from reflecting light in the most stunning way. The company made sure the phone comes in an array of rainbow colours to suit everyone’s taste. It measures 9.1mm in thickness, weighs 170g overall and will be available in Pink, Violet, Gray, Brown and Black colors.
Display
The Silk phone sports a 5.45-inch HD+ full view display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 295 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 71.88% screen-to-body as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition out of the box. Under the hood, the MT6739WW chipset from MediaTek runs the race, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The PowerVR GE8100 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 8GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 64GB using a memory card. It boasts of just 1GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The BQ Mobile BQ-5520L Silk features an 8MP rear camera for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. In the selfie department, there’s a 5MP selfie shooters for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the Silk is a 2500mAh battery capacity with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.1 hours.
