Symphony V98 has been launched by Symphony. It’s a low budget smartphone with standard features and it runs on the Android OS v8.1 Go Edition (Oreo) out of the box which will receive patches and updates from Google. This will be joining the Symphony G100 and Symphony i120 in the market for Symphony lovers.
Design
This smartphone was built with plastic and looks absolutely stunning nonetheless. There’s no fingerprint scanner in sight which means you have to depend on the Pattern and PIN unlock. It measures 10.1mm in thickness and weighs 115g, it will also be available in Black and Gold colors.
Display
The V98 is built around a 5.0-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. The screen boasts of 480 x 854 pixels in resolution along with a 196 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 64.41% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition operating system. Under the hood, the MT6580 chipset from MediaTek sits behind the screen, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-400 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 8GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 128GB using a memory card. It boasts of 1GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The V98 is equipped with a 5MP rear shooter for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features. For taking selfies, there’s a 2MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the Symphony V98 is a 2200mAh battery capacity with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours.
