Realme 3 goes Official with Helio P70, Waterdrop Notch

Oppo’s sub-brand, Realme has officially introduced the Realme 3 which just hit the stores. The device was expected to be the upgraded version of last year’s Realme 2 Pro or at least the Realme U1.

To be perfectly clear, the Realme 3 is still powered by the Helio P70 chip which is on both of the aforementioned devices. However, in real life, the device is more like a watered-down variant of the series.

The device is built around a 6.22-inch waterdrop notch display, but the resolution has been reduced. It’s now a 720 x 1520 HD+ screen, with a 13MP selfie camera as well. Although previous rumours suggested a triple rear camera, it ships with just 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera.

Nonetheless, it runs on Android 9 Pie with ColorOS 6.0 and powered by a massive 4230mAh battery the Realme series is known for. There are two storage variants, a 3/32GB and 4/64GB with expandable storage space. It supports 4G LTE connectivity, micro USB and has a starting price of Rs8,999 ($129).
