It’s not yet 2020, but Oppo has introduced the A9 2020 and A5 2020 which should be competing for the lower mid-range segment in Q4 2019, alongside the Reno2 Z and Realme 5 Pro. The devices are powered by the 11nm Snapdragon 665 chip and runs on Android 9 Pie.
The phones are very identical and almost the same, for starters they both measure 75.6 x 163.6 x 9.1 mm in dimensions and weighs 195g. They are also built around the same massive 6.5″ 720 x 1600 HD+ IPS display.
Powering the A9 2020 is a massive 5000 milliampere battery, while a 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels camera sits at the rear and a 8 megapixels selfie on the waterdrop notch. While the A5 2020 substitutes the 48MP for a 12MP main shooter.
However, they both do have different storage configurations. The A5 2020 has 3/64 and 4/128 gigabytes options, while the A9 2020 offers a 6/128 and 8/128 gigabytes configuration. The prices will be revealed soon enough.
