iLA R1 has been introduced by iLA aka Xiaolajiao and will be available on shopping stores immediately. This is coming after the company released the Xiaolajiao 7S in China which will also be known as iLA 7S globally. The R1 was released exclusively for the global market with Full View Display and dual rear camera.
Design
It’s not the most attractive affordable smartphone we’ve seen in a while, but it sure looks good. Designed with Plastic and sports a vertically positioned dual camera at the top left corner, while the fingerprint scanner takes centre stage. It measures 8.95mm in thickness and will be available in Red and Blue colors.
Display
The R1 is built around a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD full view display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 295 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 73.47% screen-to-body as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the MT6739 chipset from MediaTek runs the race, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The PowerVR GE8100 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 16GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 64GB using a memory card. It boasts of 2GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The iLA R1 features dual 13MP + 0.3MP rear camera for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. In the selfie department, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the R1 is a 2800mAh battery capacity with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.4 hours.
