BlackBerry Evolve has been introduced in partnership with Optiemus, the company’s Indian manufacturing partner. The new Evolve series sports an 18:9 screen, making it the first Android smartphone from BlackBerry without a physical keyboard. Lets find out more.
Design
The body of the device is made of Plastic with aluminum frame. It will be available in only Black color. At the top middle, we can see the dual rear camera in a vertical position. There’s a LED flash right beside it, while the fingerprint scanner comes underneath.
Display
The front is built around a 5.99-inch IPS LCD display. This has a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels along with a 403 pixel per inch density. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top.
Software and Hardware
The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Inside the device, it’s powered by the Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chip with 8-cores of processor, this reaches a clocking speed of up to 1.8GHz.
For storage, the device packs a standard 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB. It also has 4GB of RAM for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 13MP + 13MP rear camera. The cameras has 1.12µm pixel sizes and comes with a LED flash. There’s a 16MP front-facing camera with front LED flash for selfies.
Battery
The device is powered by a 4000mAh non-removable battery capacity with fast charging. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
