Apple iPhone XR was also introduced alongside the the iPhone XS and XS Max. It’s also powered by the new A12 Bionic chipset which we already explained about its amazing features. The iPhone XR has a bigger display than the XS but not as big as the XS Max. It’s also the cheapest iPhone we’ve seen in a while at launch.
Design
The iPhone XR gets its inspiration from the iPhone 5C, it has an aluminium frame which is different from the stainless steel on the XS and XS Max. There’s a single rear camera at the top left corner, with no fingerprint scanner in sight as well. You have to depend on the Face ID feature. It measures just 8.3mm in thickness and weighs 194g overall. It will be available in Black, Red, Yellow, Blue and Coral colors.
Display
The phone is built around a tall 6.1-inch 19.5:9 notched liquid retina display. The screen boasts of 828 x 1792 pixels in resolution along with a 326 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 79% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
The new smartphone runs on iOS 12 out of the box. Under the hood, the A12 Bionic chipset from Apple runs the show, coming with 6-cores of processor which clocks at 2.5GHz for a smooth ride.
There’s a Apple GPU graphics card that handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64GB/128GB/256GB internal storage space variants which are not expandable. It has 3GB RAM space as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with a single 12MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus for photography and accompanied with other internal features. While for selfies, it sports a 7MP selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering it up is a 2942mAh battery capacity with fast and wireless charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.2 hours.
