Karbonn K9 Smart Plus has been introduced as an affordable beauty with full view HD+ display offering nice visuals. However, it seems the smartphone targets those on a very tight budget or old people. It has just 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage space, including running on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition.
Design
A combination of Metal and Plastic keeps the device standing, while the rear camera and LED flash are seen at the top left corner. It’s more of a watered-down variant of the Platinum P9 Pro. It measures 8.4mm in thickness, weighs 144g overall and will be available in Blue, Gold and Red colors only.
Display
The K9 Smart Plus is built around a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD full view display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 295 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 72.38% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition out of the box as well. Under the hood, the MT6739 from MediaTek is still in total control, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.4GHz for a smooth ride.
The PowerVR GE8100 graphics card is in control of everything graphics. The phone boasts of a 8GB internal storage space for storing up your files, this is expandable up to 64GB using a memory card. It boasts of just 1GB RAM space, this can be used to multitask through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Karbonn K9 Smart Plus features a single 5MP rear camera for taking photographs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering up the K9 Smart Plus is 2800mAh battery capacity with no support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours tops.
