Xiaomi has announced its 30W Mi Charge Turbo wireless charging technology which is expected to debut on the Mi 9 Pro 5G as well as the Mi 10. The wireless charging tech was designed using a 5-layer nanocrystal receiver coil.
In terms of overheating temperatures, the coil promises a conversion efficiency of over 98%. With that being said, the 4000mAh battery that will be powering the smartphone will charge up to 59% in less than 25 minutes, according to Xiaomi.
The new technology promises to fill up a standard 4000mAh battery in just 60 minutes. The Mi 9 Pro 5G flagship is expected to be powered by a 4000mAh battery, Snapdragon 855 Plus chip and this technology. The company also announced they are still developing and testing a 40W wireless charging, for its 2020 flagship devices.
