The Ukozi U5 has been announced as an affordable smartphone with the trendy full view display. The phone targets those on a budget with low-end specs and features just like the iTel S33 we reported earlier. It has an in-built GPS receiver, a Mediatek MT6580 chipset, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage and many more features.
Design
This smartphone has a plastic body and it measures 9.4mm in thickness, it weighs just 157g as well. The back is really plain with the fingerprint scanner in sight, while the rear camera and LED flash is seen at the top left corner. Its also available in Gold and Red colors as well.
Display
The U5 is built around a 5.7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen. The screen boasts of 1280 x 720 pixels in resolution along with a 188 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 77% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition out of the box. Under the hood, the MT6580 chipset from MediaTek sits behind the screen, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-400 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 4GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 32GB using a memory card. It boasts of 512MB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Ukozi U5 is equipped with an 8MP rear shooter for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed below. For taking selfies, there’s a 2MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the U5 is a 2000mAh battery capacity with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours.
