While it’s taking Samsung years to release a foldable smartphone tagged Galaxy F, the Royole FlexPai has just been introduced in China. A foldable tablet that lets you fold the device to use as a smartphone with dual display or just a tablet with a 7.8-inch AMOLED Foldable display.
Design
The device was designed with metal and glass, however, there’s a foldable material at the middle that bends the device into two. It’s not as thick as expected though, it measures 7.6mm in thickness, weighs 320g overall and was announced in only Black color.
Display
The Royole FlexPai is built around a 7.8-inch AMOLED Foldable display. The screen boasts of 1920 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 308 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the foldable screen stretches up to 75% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Running the race here is the Snapdragon 8150 chipset from Qualcomm, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.8GHz for a smooth ride.
The Adreno 640 graphics card controls graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage space variants which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It boasts of 6GB/8GB RAM space as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Royole FlexPai is equipped with dual 16MP + 20MP rear camera for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below.
Battery
Powering up the FlexPai is a 3800mAh battery capacity with support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
