The Phone 1 has a metal body design. This metal body design is a solid black chassis and pristinely-cut side which looks like a smaller size blade laptop. At the back of the smartphone is the Razor logo. The fingerprint sensor is built into the side power button.
While the Phone 2 has an aluminum alloy body design, its design is quite similar to the Razer Phone and It has some curved edges that makes it a bit more comfortable to grip. This smartphone has a Gorilla Glass at the back which allows wireless charging. Its fingerprint sensor is located on the power button. The only difference between these two smartphones is that the Phone 1 has a metal black chassis while the Phone 2 has a black glass rear. The Phone 1 weighs less at 197g, while the Phone 2 weighs 220g.

The Phone 1 houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
chipset with an octa-core processor clocking speed of up to 2.35GHz. The Phone 1 has 8GB RAM and 64GB storage space.
While the Phone 2 houses an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset with octa-core processor clocking at 2.8GHz. In the RAM department the Phone 2 has 8GB and 64GB storage space.
For the Software, the Phone 1 runs on the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. While the Phone 2 runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

Razer Phone Vs Razer Phone 2 : Verdict
They are both great smartphones with high-end features at an affordable price. The Razer Phone 2 brings some nice improvements like the Chroma lighting effects, a brighter display amongst others. However, I personally think there is no much need to upgrade to the Razer Phone 2 if you are coming from a Razer Phone, But if you are coming from another device the Razer Phone 2 is a better choice.
