Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 MSM8936 is a mid-range ARMv8-based SoC that runs mainly on android devices. It was announced in February 2014. The chip is built on the 64-bit architecture powered by 4 Cortex-A53 CPU cores that can clock up to 1.7 GHz. The chip isn’t that common around smartphones, because it’s not as powerful as the Snapdragon 626.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 MSM8936 Processor
The 64-bit architecture ARMv8 ISA Cortex-A53 cores clocking at 1.7 GHz provides significant improvement in performance when compared to older Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A9. The 2x 32-bit memory controller (LPDDR3-1600, 12.8 GB/s) and 28nm technology design combine to provide adequate support for LTE cat. 4 (up to 150 Mbps), WCDMA, CDMA, EV-DO, TDSCDMA and GSM/EDGE, Wi-Fi (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 4.0. It is fitted with an ISP capable of handling sensors up to 21 MP.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 MSM8936 Graphics
Powered by the Adreno 405 GPU which clocks at an impressive 550MHz, the chip can adequately provide support for DirectX 11.2 (FL 11_1) including hardware tessellation, OpenGL ES 3.1, and OpenCL 1.2. The performance is way better than the Adreno 320 and on par with the PowerVR G6200 graphics card.
Process Technology (nm)
The SoC is built on the premium 28nm FinFET process technology capable of providing medium power consumption. However, it can’t be compared to modern day 10nm mid-range chips.
The AnTuTu points isn’t known yet, hopefully, we will update this page soon enough with the details. But it’s expected to be above 50,000 but obviously not up to 100,000.
