Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 mobile platform was introduced alongside the 632 and 439, the 429 was obviously designed for low-end budget phones that needs improved features compared to its predecessors.
Process Technology (nm)
For starters, the new SD 429 was built on a much newer 12nm manufacturing process, this makes it more power-efficient compared to most chipset in its segment and price range. The 12nm FinFET process node is an advanced technology for the budget segment, while offering improved performance and extended battery life.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 Processor
Although it comes with quad-core processor which consists of four ARM Cortex A53 cores, they clocks at an impressive 2.0GHz. This should offer 40% improvement in performance compared to the four cores of processor on the Snapdragon 425.
Graphics
It adopts the Adreno 504 graphics card which has a Vulkan1.1 & OpenGL ES 3.1+ API support. The graphics processor offers a 50% improvement in GPU performance compared to the one on the 425.
Performance
The 64-bit powered chip promises a brilliant display with smooth and attractive gaming on their mobile devices. It utilizes the Hexagon 536 DSP technology, with support for Bluetooth 5.0 which uses low energy.
SDM429 comes with 2x Image Signal Processor (ISP) which uses up to 8MP in dual cameras and 16MP on a single camera as max, with Zero Shutter Lag. It should be able to shoot up to 1080p videos, while displaying only 720p+ contents.
Connectivity
It comes with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 technology support and the Aqstic™ audio technology. Satellite support includes GPS, GLONASS, Beidou & Galileo with WiFi 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and LTE FDD, LTE TDD, LTE Broadcast.
The peak download speed remains 150 Mbps, while the upload speed is 75 Mbps. It uses the Snapdragon™ X6 LTE modem whch supports Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) with LTE call continuity, HD Voice over 3G and Dual SIM VoLTE.

Over at AnTuTu, specifically on the version 6, the chip reaches a low of 28662, avg of 31054, median of 32800 and max points of 34229.
