Oppo A7 vs F7, waterdrop notch or normal notch? The Oppo A7 was unveiled this month and its the newest addition by Oppo. It has innovative features like the waterdrop notch and it’s a budget friendly device. However, we will be comparing it to the Oppo F7 by Oppo. It was released back in April. The A7 comes in a Magnesium Alloy body. It has a waterdrop notch design just like most Oppo phones this season. This smartphone has a mirrored texture back where the fingerprint sensor is located. While the F7 is built with Metal. It has a plastic back and frames on the sides. This smartphone has a rear mounted fingerprint scanner as well. Both smartphones weighs 158g.

The A7 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD notched screen with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels, the screen has a pixel per inch density of 271. While, the F7 sports a 6.23-inch FHD+ LTPS IPS LCD screen with 1080 x 2280 Pixels in resolution and 405ppi.

The A7 houses a Qualcomm SDM450 Snapdragon 450 chipset with an octa-core processor clocking speed of up to 1.8GHz. It has 4GB/3GB RAM and 32GB storage space.
While the F7 houses the MediaTek Helio P60 (MT6771) chipset with octa-core processor clocking at 2.0GHz. In the RAM department, the F7 has 4GB/6GB and 64GB/128GB storage space.
For the Software, Oppo A7 runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. While the F7 runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system as well.

The A7 has a camera setup of 13MP + 2MP and a front/Selfie camera of 16 megapixels. While the F7 has a camera set up of 16MP with a great front camera of 24MP with f/2.0 aperture.

They are both nice lower mid-range smartphones with attractive body and specs. But I think the Oppo A7 is a little bit better than the F7 and it’s a worthy upgrade if you want to upgrade.
