Meizu Zero is officially the company’s first smartphone with no hole whatsoever. There is no speaker, charging port or even a SIM tray. Yes, you read that right, it only uses the eSIM. Tagged the “the world’s first seamless & uninterrupted phone”, the Meizu Zero is here to break boundaries. There’s no speaker as well, instead, it uses a piezoelectric transducer which through vibrations makes the display emit sounds. It also supports 18W wireless charging and will be joining the Meizu 16X in stores, in the coming weeks.
Design
It sports a front glass and a ceramic unibody that has no hole whatsoever. For what it’s worth, the device is also IP68 certified, making it water resistant. The fingerprint scanner sits comfortably on the screen. It was unveiled in Black and White, with unknown parameters.
Display
The Zero is built around a 5.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED full view display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution along with a 430 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 84% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9 Pie operating system out of the box. Running the race, is the Snapdragon 845 chip from Qualcomm which comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.8GHz offering a smooth ride.
The Adreno 630 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 64GB/128GB internal storage space for storing your files. It comes with 4GB/6GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Meizu Zero houses dual 12MP + 20MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a 20MP selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering up the Zero is a 3200mAh battery capacity with support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.7 hours.
