Meitu has announced the Meitu V7 and V7 Tonino Lamborghini Edition, they are the first smartphones with triple selfie cameras. Both devices are powered by the Snapdragon 845 flagship chip and obviously the V7 Tonino Lamborghini Edition is in collaboration with the Tonino Lamborghini brand.
It comes with a Lamborghini-branded leather case and custom remote to control selfies as well. It has a starting price of ¥6,799 ($999), while the main version starts from ¥6,199($899). Pre-sale will start December 24th and official sales on January 9, 2019.
Design
The device is designed with tri-thread decorative element, bringing Leather and Metal onboard. There’s a dual rear camera at the rear, with dual separated LED flash, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the front. The V7 comes in Orange and Green, while the V7 Tonino Lamborghini is available in only White.
Display
The V7 and V7 Tonino Lamborghini Edition are built around a 6.21-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2280 pixels in resolution along with a 406 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 69% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with MeiOS 4.5 skin. Steering the wheel, is the Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm which comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.8GHz offering a smooth ride.
The Adreno 640 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 128GB/256GB/512GB internal storage space for storing your files. It comes with 8GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Meitu V7 houses dual 12MP + 8MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a triple 12MP + 20MP + 8MP shooter at the top bezel.
Battery
Powering up the V7 is a 3400mAh battery capacity with support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.8 hours.
