Maximus D1 and D7 budget-friendly smartphones have just been introduced in Bangladesh. Both smartphones targets those on a very tight budget this festive period or those looking to get a second affordable device. Unlike the D1, the Maximus D7 is more affordable, with a smaller 4-inch LCD panel, a 2MP selfie and 1800mAh battery. Well in this review, we will be focusing on the D1.
Design
The D1 comes with a plastic and metal mix body, mainly a plastic back and metal frame. There’s no fingerprint scanner on both device, just a rear camera and LED flash. It will be available in Black, Blue, Gold, Pink and Red colors.
Display
The D1 features a bigger 5-inch HD IPS LCD standard display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1280 pixels in resolution along with a 268 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 61.9% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the SC9832E chipset from Spreadtrum comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.4GHz offering a smooth ride.
The Mali-T820 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 8GB internal storage space for storing your files, you can expand up to 64GB using a memory card. It comes with just 1GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Maximus D1 houses a single 5MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
Battery
Powering up the D1 is a 2200mAh battery capacity with no support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.1 hours.
