LG X5 has been launched in Japan and will be known as LG X5 Android One, running on Android 9 Pie out of the box with notch display. Although the specs are pretty similar to the LG G7 One and G7 Fit mid-range smartphones. The X5 comes with a very sharp QHD+ display and powered by the Snapdragon 835 chip. It’s not known if the device will available outside the Japan region, but we doubt it will be.
Design
It sports an aluminium alloy overall unibody with glass on top. Furthermore, it’s equipped with a single rear camera, even though it looks like two. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the usual position. The device measures 7.9mm in thickness, weighs 158g overall and available in only Blue and White.
Display
The X5 is built around a 6.1-inch QHD+ IPS LCD notch display. The screen boasts of 1440 x 3120 pixels in resolution along with a 563 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 83.18% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Under the hood, is the Snapdragon chipset from Qualcomm which comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.45GHz offering a smooth ride.
The Qualcomm Adreno 540 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 32GB internal storage space for storing your files, you can expand up to 256GB using a memory card. It comes with 4GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The LG X5 Android One houses a single 16MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s an 8MP shooter with f/1.9 aperture.
Battery
Powering up the X5 Android One is a 3000mAh battery capacity with support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 1.8 hours.
