Huawei Y9 2019 has been introduced by the tech giant as the latest installment to the Y series. The Y9 2019 looks like the Nova 3i and comes with four cameras just like the Redmi Note 6 Pro. Of course, it’s built around a notch and is powered by the new Kirin 710 mid-range chipset from Huawei. It features a super massive 6.5″ FHD+ display, runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and packs big storage and RAM space variants. Lets find out more.
Design
Just like most mid-range smartphones from the company of late, the Y9 2019 doesn’t look any different. It sports dual rear cameras at the top left corner with the fingerprint scanner in is usual position. Turning to the sides, it measures 8.05mm in thickness and weighs 173g overall. The device will be available in Black, Blue, Rose-gold and Violet colors.
Display
The Y9 2019 is built around a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD 19:9 notch display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution along with a 396 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. The screen also got up to 83.1% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Emotion 8.2. Under the hood, the new HiSilicon KIRIN 710 chipset from Huawei steers the wheel, it comes with 8-cores of processor which clocks at 2.2GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-G51 MP4 graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 64GB/128GB internal storage space variants which are expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It has 4GB/6GB RAM space variants for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped 13MP + 2MP dual rear shooters. The cameras are loaded with other internal features and shoots 1080p videos as well. For taking selfies, there’s a dual 16MP + 2MP selfie shooters as well.
Battery
Powering up the Y9 2019 is a 4000mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2.4 hours.
