Huawei Y5 Lite has been launched in Pakistan as the watered-down variant of the Y5 Prime budget smartphone released late last year. It looks exactly like the Y5 Prime but the Y5 Lite was created for those on a very tight budget. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB.
Design
The phone is designed with both Metal and Plastic and looks exactly like the Y5 Prime from the rear. The camera can be seen at the top left corner with the LED flash right beside it. There’s no fingerprint scanner on this one though. It measures 8.3mm in thickness, weighs 142g overall and available in only Blue and Black.
Display
The Y5 Lite is built around a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD full view display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 295 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 73.8% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition operating system out of the box. Steering the wheel, is the MT6739 chipset from MediaTek which comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.5GHz offering a smooth ride.
The PowerVR GE8100 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 16GB internal storage space for storing your files, you can expand up to 256GB using a memory card. It comes with 1GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Huawei Y5 Lite houses a single 8MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a 5MP shooter.
Battery
Powering up the Y5 Lite is a 3020mAh battery capacity with no support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours.
