Huawei Mate 20 X was also introduced in London alongside the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro flagship smartphones. The X version looks similar to these devices but there has been a major change. The screen is now bigger, standing at 7.2-inch targeting big screen lovers. It also runs on Android 9.0 Pie and powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 980 flagship chipset.
Design
The device comes with a Stylus Pen which is sold separately, the front and back glass is plastered on the aluminum frame as it exudes class and elegance. It sports triple rear cameras as well, with the fingerprint reader sitting at the rear unlike the Mate 20 and 20 Pro. It measures 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 232g overall, it’s only available in Midnight Blue and Phantom Silver colors as well.
Display
The Mate 20 X sports a tall 7.2-inch AMOLED waterdrop display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2244 pixels in resolution along with a 346 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 87.6% screen-to-body as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box with EMUI 9.0 on top. Under the hood, the HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset from Huawei runs the race, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.6GHz for a smooth ride.
The Mali-G76 MP10 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It boasts of 6GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Huawei Mate 20 X is equipped with triple 40MP + 20MP + 8MP rear shooters for photography. The camera is accompanied by a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. In the selfie department, there’s a 24MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the Mate 20 X is a 5000mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
