Both device has an aluminum alloy body. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro sports a glass on top accompanied by images of the front panel and a curvy design. There’s also a large notch which houses a 3D-sensing camera for facial recognition. It has minimal bezels as well and it is expected to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner. While the P20 Pro has a glass back, it has a notched display and the fingerprint sensor is beneath the display at the front. The triple cameras were positioned in different positions as well.

The Mate 20 Pro houses a HiSilicon Kirin 980 chipset with an Octa-core processor clocking speed of up to 2.6GHz. The HiSilicon Kirin 980 has 6GB/8GB RAM and 64GB/256GB/512GB storage space.
While the P20 Pro houses the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset with Octa-core processor clocking at 2.4GHz. In the RAM department, the P20 Pro has 6GB and 64GB/128GB/256GB storage space.
