Huawei Honor 8X has been launched in China as the latest smartphone from Huawei’s sub-brand. The 8X is powered by the Kirin 710 chipset, a powerful mid-range chipset with GPU Turbo technology for advanced gaming. It also comes with a notch and four cameras. Lets find out more.
Design
Designed with aluminium alloy, the smartphone looks absolutely exquisite and reflects light beautifully. The dual rear camera and LED flash are seen at the top left corner, in a vertical position. While the fingerprint scanner sits at the middle. It will be available in Black, Blue, Red and Pink colors.
Display
The phone sports a tall 6.5-inch FHD+ 19:9 notched display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution along with a 396 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 84.4% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
The new smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.2 on top. Under the hood, the Hisilicon Kirin 710 mid-range chipset from Huawei runs the show, coming with 8-cores of processor which clocks at 2.2GHz for a smooth ride.
The Mali-G51 MP4 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB/64GB internal storage space variants which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It has 6GB/4GB RAM space variants as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 20MP + 2MP rear camera with autofocus for photography and accompanied with other internal features. While for selfies, it sports dual 16MP + 2MP selfie shooters as well.
Battery
Powering it up is a 3750mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
