Huawei Honor 8X Max has been unveiled in China alongside the Honor 8X. The Honor 8X Max is more like a watered-down variant of the device but packs a bigger 5000mAh battery capacity and a taller 7.12-inch FHD+ display. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset as well. Lets find out more.
Design
It looks exactly like the Honor 8X from the rear, but of course there’s been a few changes. It has an aluminium alloy body that reflects light beautifully. The dual rear camera and LED flash are seen at the top left corner, in a vertical position. While the fingerprint scanner sits at the middle. It will be available in Black, Blue and Red colors.
Display
The massive phone sports a taller 7.12-inch FHD+ 19:9 water-drop selfie-notched display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2244 pixels in resolution along with a 350 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 83.4% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
The new smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.2 on top. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 636 mid-range chipset from Qualcomm runs the show, coming with 8-cores of processor which clocks at 1.8GHz for a smooth ride.
The Adreno 509 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB/64GB internal storage space variants which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It has 6GB/4GB RAM space variants as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 20MP + 2MP rear camera with autofocus for photography and accompanied with other internal features. While for selfies, it sports an 8MP selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering it up is a 5000mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2.2 hours.
