Hotwav Symbol X was previously introduced as the Xgody Symbol X on AliExpress and was later removed. It also found its way to Gearbest and was “discontinued” after some weeks. Now, a new Hotwav Symbol X was seen in a shopping store in Dubai with a bigger 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage space, a price tag of AED 379. It’s also equipped with Face Unlock feature, the same 5.7″ screen and 13MP + 2MP rear shooters.
Design
The device is built with Plastic, but you won’t have a clue due to how it reflects light beautifully. It has a dual rear camera and it does not have a fingerprint sensor, this means you have to rely sorely on its facial unlock feature. It measures 7.8mm in thickness, weighs 189g overall and will be available in Black and White colors only.
Display
The Symbol X is built around a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD notch display. The screen boasts of 720 x 1498 pixels in resolution along with a 292 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 79.04% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box as well. Under the hood, the MT6580P from MediaTek is still in total control, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-400 MP2 graphics card is in control of everything graphics. The phone boasts of a 16GB/64GB internal storage space for storing up your files, this is expandable up to 128GB using a memory card. It boasts of 2GB/4GB RAM space, this can be used to multitask through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Hotwav Symbol X features a single 13MP + 2MP rear dual camera for taking photographs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s an 8MP selfie shooter on top of the notch.
Battery
Powering up the Symbol X is 3500mAh battery capacity with no support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 3 hours tops.
