Hotwav Symbol S9L has officially been announced by Hotwav and the device will be available on shopping stores soon enough. We saw a sneak peek of the device during the CSES in Hong Kong and it’s amazing how it’s ready to hit the stores. It brings a whole new type of notch that isn’t common in 2018, but we love it, even though it’s not like the Oppo K1 and R15x.
Design
The phone has a metal frame and a plastic back, the back dishes out a gradient effect but it’s not that deep though. While the dual rear camera is seen at the top left corner, there’s no rear fingerprint scanner, so you have to depend on Face Unlock feature. It measures 7.9 mm in thickness and will be available in Blue and Purple colors.
Display
The S9L features a tall 6.8-inch IPS LCD full view display. The screen boasts of 640 x 1352 pixels in resolution along with a 220 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 94.71% screen-to-body ratio, which is impressive.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Running the show is the MT6739WW chipset from MediaTek, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The PowerVR GE8100 graphics card handles everything graphics. For storing up your files, the Symbol S9L packs a 16GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 128GB using a memory card. The device has 2GB RAM space available for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Hotwav Symbol S9L features dual 13MP + 2MP rear camera for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, it’s equipped with a 5MP selfie shooter at the top right corner.
Battery
Powering up the Symbol S9L is a 3150mAh battery capacity with no support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.6 hours.
