HomTom H1 has been introduced by the Chinese OEM as its latest smartphone targeting those on a budget. The H1 targets youths who wants a full view display smartphone with Face Unlock and fingerprint scanner all under $100. There’s also 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space available here. Lets find out more.
Design
The H1 was made of Plastic with Metal frame and looks absolutely stunning for a budget smartphone. We can see the iPhone X-like dual rear cameras at the top middle with the LED flash sitting in-between. There’s a rear fingerprint scanner by the side as well.
Display
The phone sports a tall 5.5-inch 18:9 Full View display. The screen boasts of 640 x 1280 pixels in resolution along with a 268 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. The screen also got up to 74% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
The new smartphone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Under the hood, the MT6739 chipset from MediaTek runs the show, coming with 4-cores of processor which clocks at 1.3GHz for a smooth ride.
The PowerVR GE8100 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 16GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 64GB using a memory card. It has 2GB RAM space as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
It’s equipped with dual 13MP + 2MP rear camera with autofocus for photography and accompanied with other internal features. While for selfies, it sports an 8MP selfie shooter.
Battery
Powering it up is a 3000mAh battery capacity with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.5 hours.
