Fero Vibe is the latest affordable smartphone from Fero Mobile. The OEM is known for its wide range of android smartphones in africa. Recently, the Fero Vibe was launched as the first Android Go Edition smartphone to be launched by Fero Mobile. It has standard features and the most interesting part is that its very very affordable. It should be in competition with the Infinix Smart 2 vs Smart 2 Pro and the Tecno Spark 2.
Design
The phone has a Poly-Carbonate body and a Fero logo at the back. The camera house has a slight bulge but not noticeable when placed on a flat surface. It does not have a fingerprint scanner but it has the trendy Face Unlock feature for fast and convenient unlocking. It weighs 168g and its available in Black and Gold colors as well.
Display
The Vibe smartphone is built around a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS LCD full view capacitive touchscreen. The screen boasts of 720 x 1440 pixels in resolution along with a 336 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 78.4% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition operating system. Under the hood, the SC7731E chipset from Spreadtrum sits behind the screen, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.25GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali graphics card manages graphics. For storing files, the device packs 16GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 128GB using a memory card. It boasts of just 1GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Vibe is equipped with an 8MP rear shooter for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features. For taking selfies, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the Fero Vibe is a 3200mAh battery capacity with no fast charging technology. Without the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2.5 hours.
