Exclusive: Infinix silently introduces the Hot 7 with 6.2″ Notch Display

Infinix Mobility, a sub-brand of Transsion Holdings and sister company of Tecno and Itel has launched an upgrade to the budget-friendly Hot series tagged Hot 7 in Thailand, we can confirm. This is coming just weeks after we exclusively reported the Zero 6 flagship from the company.

As expected, it’s the Hot 7 and we got the first exclusive photos. The new smartphone is not the first from the Hot series with Notch Display, the Hot 6X holds that title when it was released months ago.

Nonetheless the Hot 7 still targets those on a budget and adopts MediaTek’s MT6580P chip, instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip we saw on the Hot 6 Pro and S3X.

However, the company made sure the smartphone is powered by the massive 4000mAh battery the Hot series is known for. The device is built around a taller 6.2″ HD+ notch display.

Disappointingly, there’s no 4G connectivity support for the Hot 7, it only supports 2G and 3G. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with the new XOS 4.0 Honeybee, sporting a 13MP rear camera and 8MP selfie shooter.

There’s 2GB RAM space for multitasking and 16GB internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. According to a source, there will be a Hot 7 Lite with 1GB RAM and 8.1 Oreo Go Edition, while the Hot 7 Pro is also coming with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 4G LTE and Dual Rear Camera.

All versions support Face Unlock, Fingerprint scanner, Dirac Mode and soft-gyroscope. The Hot 7 is now available on shopping stores in Thailand, we can confirm. Price starts at Baht 3,999 ($119).
