Energizer Energy E500S is now available for pre-order, but don’t get too excited, it’s a budget-friendly smartphone. The company was quite a trend during the Mobile World Congress earlier this year releasing monstrous smartphones with massive battery. Now, the Energy E500S has resurfaced as the company’s latest affordable smartphone.
Design
It’s pretty much like the Doogee X11 we reported yesterday, but with no Face Unlock feature though. No fingerprint scanner as well, just the pattern unlock. It measures 8.6mm in thickness, weighs 127g overall as well and is available in only Black color.
Display
The Energy E500S is built around a 4.99-inch IPS LCD standard display. The screen boasts of 480 x 854 pixels in resolution along with a 195 pixel per inch density for clear visuals. Overall, the beautiful screen stretches up to 69.24% screen-to-body ratio as well.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition out of the box. Running the race here is the MT6737M chipset from MediaTek, it comes with 4-cores of processor clocking at 1.25GHz for a smooth ride. There’s a E500 with MT6580M and Mali-400MP2 GPU though.
The ARM Mali-T720 MP1 graphics card controls graphics. For storing files, the device packs 8GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 64GB using a memory card. It boasts of just 1GB RAM space as well for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Energizer Energy E500S features an 8MP rear camera for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a 5MP selfie shooter for all your selfies. The Energy E500 has a lower 5MP rear camera and 2MP selfies.
Battery
Powering up the Energy E500S is a 2000mAh battery capacity, there’s no support for fast charging here. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% might take up to 2 hours.
