Elephone is really having fun at the Global Sources Electronics Show (GSES) in Hong Kong, they just introduced the Elephone U2 Pro as well. This is the advanced variant of the Elephone U2 smartphone, the Pro version is equipped with a pop-up that houses both the dual rear and selfie camera. It’s powered by the Helio P60 chipset while running on Android 9.0 Pie. It looks like the Vivo NEX S though.
Design
It was also designed with metal and glass just like the U2. There’s no trace of camera at the rear, everything pops up when you tap on that camera icon. The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the screen to flow with the current trend as well.
Display
The U2 Pro is built around a 6.41-inch FHD+ Double-curved AMOLED totally bezel-less display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2340 pixels in resolution along with a 403 pixel per inch density for sharp visuals. Overall, the screen stretches up to 97% screen-to-body as well, which is incredible.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the Helio P60 chipset from MediaTek runs the race, it comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.0GHz for a smooth ride.
The ARM Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card handles graphics. For storing files, the device packs 128GB internal storage space which is expandable up to 256GB using a memory card. It boasts of 6GB RAM space for multitasking through apps.
Camera
The Elephone U2 Pro features dual pop-up 12MP + 5MP rear camera for photography. The camera is accompanied by a LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. In the selfie department, there’s a pop-up dual 16MP + 0.3MP selfie shooter for all your selfies as well.
Battery
Powering up the U2 Pro is a 3600mAh battery capacity with fast charging technology. With the fast charging feature, charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
