For a while now, we’ve been expecting the Elephone P60 smartphone from Elephone which is powered by the Helio P60 chipset from MediaTek. The prototype was on showcase during a mobile show in Hong Kong, but it seems the company has left the device and moved on to other things. Although that isn’t surprising, after the Elephone A5 is doing less than expected on shopping stores. The P60 has been cancelled according to a source and won’t be hitting the stores, but the U2 and U2 Pro are surely on the way.
Design
The smartphone was designed with polycarbornate, sporting dual rear camera at the top middle. The fingerprint scanner was moved to the front, giving us the P20 vibe. The prototype was teased in Black only.
Display
The P60 features a 6.18-inch FHD+ IPS LCD notch display. The screen boasts of 1080 x 2248 pixels in resolution along with a 403 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 79% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. Under the hood, the Helio P60 chipset from MediaTek comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.0GHz offering a smooth ride.
The Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 64GB internal storage space for storing your files, you can expand up to 128GB using a memory card. It comes with 6GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Elephone P60 houses dual 13MP + 5MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s a 16MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
Battery
Powering up the P60 is a 4000mAh battery capacity with support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 2 hours.
