Doogee has just quietly unveiled the Doogee S90 flagship rugged phone from the S series. The smartphone brings a lot to the table compared to other rugged phones. The S90 features an all-in-one meaningful functionalities, while retaining its toughness and elegance. It’s safe to say the bigger sibling of the S80 and S80 Lite came ready.
It comes with four interchangeable modules which can be bought separately or altogether. There’s a Night Vision Camera, a 5000mAh Powerbank case, a digital walkie-talkie case and a professional gamepad. The video below shows you how to use them. It’s powered by the Helio P60 chipset with the multi-core AI Processing Unit and NeuroPilot AI technology and boasts of IP68 Certifications. What else could you want in a rugged device?
Design
The phone has a polycarbornate and metal mixed body, making it as rugged as possible and boasting of IP68 Certifications and the highest military grade rating. There’s a separate dual-LED flash sitting beside the vertically placed rear cameras, with a fingerprint scanner underneath. Pre-sale starts in January 2019 and it will be available in only Black.
Display
The S90 is built around a 5.99-inch FHD+ IPS LCD notch display. The screen boasts of 2160 x 1080 pixels in resolution along with a 406 pixel per inch density for clear visuals as well. Overall, the screen stretches up to 81% screen-to-body ratio.
Software and Hardware
It runs on Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box. Steering the wheel, is the Helio P60 chipset from MediaTek which comes with 8-cores of processor clocking at 2.0GHz offering a smooth ride.
The Arm Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card handles everything graphics. The phone packs 128GB internal storage space for storing your files, you can expand up to 256GB using a memory card. It comes with 6GB RAM space for multitasking through apps and tasks.
Camera
The Doogee S90 houses dual 16MP + 8MP rear camera for all your photography needs. The camera is equipped with a dual-LED flash and other internal features listed in the table below. For taking selfies, there’s an 8MP shooter.
Battery
Powering up the S90 is a 10050mAh (5050mAh + 5000mAh) battery capacity with support for fast charging. Charging the battery from 0% to 100% shouldn’t take up to 3-4 hours.
